Graphic Designer/Photographer

to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating visually compelling designs and capturing high-quality photographs that align with our brand and support various marketing initiatives. This role requires a blend of graphic design expertise and photography skills to enhance the Association's digital, print, and event marketing efforts. Position is on-site in White Plains, NY.

Responsibilities:

Graphic Design:

Create visually appealing designs for various platforms, including digital ads, social media posts, email campaigns, brochures, flyers, event materials, and more.

Collaborate with the marketing team and senior leaders to develop branding materials, ensuring consistency across all communication channels.

Design creative assets for the website, newsletters, and member-facing digital content.

Ensure that all designs align with HGAR's brand identity and standards.

Video Production:

Capture and edit short videos for promotional purposes, event recaps, and social media.

Collaborate with the marketing team to storyboard and produce video content for various campaigns.

Creative Collaboration:

Work closely with the marketing team to conceptualize and develop fresh ideas for advertising campaigns, social media, and member engagement materials.

Collaborate on the creation of presentations and reports with strong visual components.

Stay up to date with design trends and technological advancements to continuously improve the quality of HGAR’s visual output.

Project Management:

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of all design and photography assets.

Communicate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback, ensuring designs meet the desired objectives.

Photography:

Capture high-quality photos at events, conferences, meetings, and other relevant activities.

Edit and retouch photos for use in marketing materials, publications, and social media.

Maintain an organized library of visual assets, ensuring easy access for future marketing use.

Take professional headshots of staff, members, and leadership when needed.

KPIs:

Ensure all design projects are completed and delivered on time to meet internal and external deadlines.

Provide comprehensive photography coverage for events, meeting the needed number of high-quality, usable photos per event.

Maintain 100% consistency with our branding guidelines across all visual materials.

Contribute to increasing engagement on social media platforms by 10% over six months.

Build and organize a digital photo library with a 100% completion rate.

Qualifications:

Degree in Graphic Design, Photography, or a related field.

2+ years of professional experience in graphic design and photography.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom) and other design software.

Strong photography skills with experience capturing live events, headshots, and product photography.

Knowledge of video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro) is a plus.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.

Strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of design and photography work.

Creativity and innovation in both design and photography.

Ability to translate marketing concepts into visually appealing graphics and imagery.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Flexibility and adaptability to handle shifting priorities and schedules.

Some travel is required to local events.

Salary Range:

$55k-$70k
