Summary:

The E-Commerce Product Photographer is responsible for photographing Fabricut, Inc products that most closely resemble all products, for publication on company websites, third party vendor websites, retail customer websites as well as printed material used to promote sales of product up to and including national ads in national publications. Assign images to designated folders for department use. And assist with the engineering and replication of images to internal and customer defined specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Explore composition, lighting, methods and photographic techniques to creatively enhance the presentation of images used to market the product
  • Collaboration in all phases of styling and of product with Senior Photographer and Director of Product Photography
  • Initial scrutiny of product images to confirm that they are correct direction, correct color and have been categorized and indexed correctly.
  • Maintain photo studio equipment and software for optimum performance.
  • Iron, pin and stretch product for imaging, photograph product and review images for use.
  • Develop Techniques as needed using lighting and photo equipment to create images that most closely resemble actual products
  • Initial scrutiny of product images to confirm that they are correct direction, correct color and have been categorized and indexed correctly.
  • Coordinate with Marketing Project Manager and Director of Product Photography for product launch priorities
  • Perform quality assurance procedure to ensure product/image rightness
  • Determine repeatability of the fabric and extract a repeatable image to create a "tile" based on internal and customer-defined specifications
  • Validate accuracy of naming convention
  • Assign images to designated permanent folders
  • Utilize Photoshop and Capture One to edit and enhance images (color correct, direction, focus, lighting, straightening, cropping)
  • Perform quality assurance procedures to ensure product/image correctness
  • Engineer and replicate images based on internal and customer-defined specifications
  • Access internal inventory application on AS400 for repeatability dimensions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.

Non-Essential Duties:

  • Assist in preparation of spreadsheets and approval of images for use on web.
  • Assist in cleaning and maintaining work environment
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • 1-5 years of Photography experience required
  • 1-5 years of Product Photography preferred
  • Basic math skills required
  • Understanding of Digital asset management, archiving and backup procedures a must.
  • 1-5 years of Photoshop experience/skills preferred
  • Associate or bachelors degree or equivalent photography related experience
  • Intermediate PC/Mac experience or greater required.
  • Must be able to stand/walk majority of day
  • Must be able to lift up to 20lbs continually
  • Good organization skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills a must.
  • Ability to work with supervisory direction.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
