Summary:

This job is responsible for providing video, photographic, desktop publishing/presentation, and audio-visual support to peroperative personnel in Pre-Surgical Assessment, Day Surgery, the Operating Room, PACU, the Pavilion Surgery Center, Anesthesiology, and Sterile Processing and Distribution

Responsibilities:

* Configures and operates technology germane to video assisted surgery to ensure patient safety during surgical procedures.
* Train surgical staff and physicians on how to use endoscopic cameras, light sources, audio-visual control systems, and video/still image recorders.
* Maintain and troubleshoot multimedia/surgical technology in the operating room. Responsible for quickly isolating the cause of equipment malfunctions and repairing or delegating the repair of technology.
* Photograph and videotape surgical procedures for purpose of education, academic research, or case documentation.
* Direct and produce training and departmental videos. Includes pre- and post-production.
* Create printed instructional guides, signs, fliers, medical illustrations, and presentations for surgical staff and surgeons.
* Set up and operate audio-visual equipment for various meetings, complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

WORK EXPERIENCE

* Experience in healthcare environment Preferred
* At least 2 years related experience Required

EDUCATION

* Two-year Associate's degree or equivalent experience radio/television/film, biomedical communications, or similar technical certification Required
