Summary:

Are you ready to make a visual impact? Reporting to the Senior Director of Content & Creative and collaborating closely with the Video Content Specialist, you will be at the forefront of visually representing the Rollins brand.

Key Responsibilities

* Serves as the College's primary photographer, producing still photography for print and digital marketing projects that support the Office of Marketing's core priorities: College of Liberal Arts and Hamilton Holt School enrollment, Institutional Advancement, and stewarding the Rollins brand.


* In partnership with the AVP of Marketing, Senior Director of Content & Creative, and others, helps establish, execute, and maintain Rollins' visual brand, producing photography that communicates the College's unique value proposition, helps differentiate Rollins in the crowded higher education landscape, and engages and inspires the College's core constituents, including prospective students and parents as well as alumni and donors.


* In collaboration with creative, editorial, and digital teams, helps establish the creative direction for photography projects and plays a primary role in carrying out that creative vision, assisting in setting up and executing photo shoots, leading post-production of still photography, and managing the Office of Marketing's photography archive.


* Leads photography post-production, editing, processing, preparing, and delivering high-quality photos in accordance with project timelines and budgets.


* In collaboration with the Video Content Specialist, creates and maintains a digital visual library, including organizing and tagging photos in a manner that maximizes their use in the immediate and long term.


* In collaboration with the Video Content Specialist, contributes to planning and execution of video projects that support the Office of Marketing and its key priorities.


* Establishes and maintains relationships with key campus partners


* Helps identify, integrate, and manage freelance photographers, photo editors, and support staff as needed.


* Manages the Office of Marketing's photography equipment, overseeing maintenance and updates as needed.


* Stays abreast of advances in technology and recommends updates in services and equipment accordingly.


* Sets and maintains high creative standards.

Minimum Qualifications & Education:

* Degree in photography, journalism, fine arts, or a related field
* Minimum three years of professional photography experience
* Experience creating high-quality photography in an array of settings and circumstances, from controlling every detail in the studio to navigating the challenges of event and travel photography
* Experience with a range of types of photography, from portraits and landscapes to documentary and event photography
* Experience managing photo shoot logistics as well as identifying and directing on-camera talent
* Experience with aerial (drone) photography (licensed FAA part 107 drone pilot preferred)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

* Advanced technical knowledge of cameras and related equipment
* Mastery of lighting techniques for a range of environments
* Able to use studio lighting, strobes, diffusion, and grip equipment
* Able to work with organized talent, manufacturing environments that represent the College's culture and environment
* Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud editing applications, including Photoshop and Lightroom
* Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
* Experience with project management tools and techniques
* Video content creation experience a major plus



Work Environment:

* In-person, campus-based position working in an office environment.
* Work requires some visual strain due to work on computer.
