Position: Staff Photographer 

Hours: Full-Time/Year Round

Salary: $60K-85K

Reports to: Creative Manager

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah 

The photographer will be responsible for all Pit Viper product photography, lifestyle photos, and photo editing. 

Along with shooting photos of eyewear and apparel, the photographer will be responsible for editing and exporting imagery to be ready for company-wide departmental use. We can teach you everything we’ve learned over the years about shooting and editing sunglasses & apparel, but an advanced understanding of lighting, Photoshop, and Lightroom are essential. 

Pit Viper will provide a fully equipped studio space along with lighting and camera equipment. We will be expecting consistency, attention to detail, creativity, a sense of humor, and the ability to translate Pit Viper’s brand into photos. The photographer will be responsible for keeping the studio organized. Additionally, the photographer will help keep a functional studio for outside rentals. Dependability and a strong work ethic is a must. 

•  Shooting and editing all product photography
• Tracking down and organizing sample product to shoot
• Organizing and planning shoots far in advance
  • Responsible for taking photos at off-site events as needed

 Qualifications

• Must live in Utah or willing to relocate
• An expert understanding of Photoshop and Lightroom
• An expert understanding of lighting and photo equipment
• BA in Photography and/or 3-4 years of professional photography experience  
• Problem solving, organizational and planning skills
• Experience working in DAM (Brandfolder or similar software)
• Experience delivering/uploading Sales Tools, (Elastic or similar sales tool)
• Asset Management
• Flexibility and cooperation
• An understanding of the brand
• Good sense of humor

Bonus Skills

• Considerable amount of dolphin facts
• Knowledge of the US Navy’s Marine Mammal Program
• Experience swimming with dolphins, in a respectful way.
