About the Job

We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Studio Photographer to join our dynamic Photo Studio team. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with your colleagues to ensure the high-quality creation of on and off-figure photography and video that aligns with our brand standards. You will oversee and manage all photographic processes, maintain equipment, and uphold the quality of our visual content. Reporting directly to the Photo Studio Manager, you will be instrumental in producing consistent imagery, developing photography and lighting guidelines. Additionally, you will support the Photo Studio Manager in assessing studio needs, upholding company policies, and managing the workflow of Photo Assistants, while effectively communicating processes and guidelines to freelance and on-call team members.

What You'll Do | Key Accountabilities

* Brand Alignment: Collaborate with the team to understand and implement the vision and guidelines of the brand.
* Photography Oversight: Work collaboratively to oversee all aspects of photography within the Photo Studio, ensuring workflow efficiency.
* Digital Asset Workflows: Support and understand technical and automated processes related to still photography and motion; proactively partnering with Digital Asset Management team and Digital Technicians to optimize and troubleshoot.
* On-Set Leadership: Lead the on-set team to achieve daily shot goals, ensuring timely workload completion while fostering a positive, collaborative, and supportive work environment.
* Process Documentation: Maintain and update processes and documentation to ensure visual consistency and image quality, while optimizing daily shot counts.
* Cross-Department Communication: Communicate effectively with merchandise coordinators, stylists, and digital artists to clarify requests, priorities, and expectations.
* Project Collaboration: Collaborate with Marketing partners to define project needs, quality standards, timelines, and deadlines.
* Equipment: Own inventory and repair of photo/video and lighting equipment, ensuring all tools are in optimal condition.
* Process Improvement: Review current processes and implement new tools, technologies, and trends to enhance workflow and overall output quality

What You'll Bring | Skills & Experience

* Advanced degree relevant to the photographic field.
* 8 years of professional photography experience.
* Strong photography portfolio showcasing studio work, including on-figure and laydown/table top and motion.
* Proficient in studio lighting and equipment, including video capabilities.
* Advanced experience with Mac, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Capture One, and Microsoft 365.
* Proficient in digital asset management and workflow optimization, with a strong understanding of technical photography processes and automated workflows.
* Excellent judgment in photographic composition, lighting, color management, and exposure.
* Expertise in guiding teams and working with models and talent to achieve outstanding results, while thriving in a high-volume, fast-paced, feedback-driven environment.
* Ability to build strong relationships, effectively partner with diverse groups, and educate colleagues on advanced photography concepts.
* Strong organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail, enabling effective prioritization and management of workload to meet product calendar deadlines and high production demands, coupled with excellent written and oral communication skills.
* High level of initiative, able to execute tasks independently with minimal direction while also working well in a team setting.

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands

* Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
* Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily
* Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
* Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
* Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from our Photo Studio in Dublin California.
